2022-2023 Officer Board

  • Matt Scully

    President

This is my seventh year with the Andover Band Association and fifth year as President. I was Vice President prior to that, and a proud parent volunteer my first year. I have one son in the band this year. He’s a senior and is co Drum Major with Mitran Kumar. Over the years he has also played in the Pep Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band and the Show Choir band, "The Sound Machine" for fun. I love supporting a music program that brings so much joy, friendship and satisfaction to my son and to so many other students. It's an amazing program to support with great staff and great parents. We are truly a family. I am thrilled and proud to be a member of the Andover Band family.

  • Bryan Cavener

    Vice President

I became a proud supporter of the Golden Warriors Marching Band when my son joined as a trumpet player in the eighth grade. Peter is now a Junior who enthusiastically leads the High Brass section. My daughter is a 2024 grad who threw her cap as her brother and the band played the Andover Song for her class for the last time. As a high schooler, I played the saxophone in marching band before attending The Ohio State University where I had the privilege of watching TBDBITL lead the Buckeyes onto the field on Saturdays. I have greatly enjoyed working with the Andover Band as a parent volunteer and I am looking forward to contributing as a new member of the Board.

  • Vik Sharma

    Treasurer

I became a part of the Andover Marching Band family when my son, Daksh, became involved. Daksh is a Junior who is in battery percussion. Once I saw how much Daksh enjoys playing with the band, I became inspired to join and see what it’s all about. I enjoy the energy that the students bring to their performances. I am looking forward to seeing what the band will achieve this year!

  • Heather Cleary

    Corresponding Secretary

This is my sixth year as a band parent and my fourth year with the Andover Band Association. Both of my sons joined the band in the eighth grade, in the Brass section. One just graduated and the other is now a Senior at AHS. Having enjoyed years of band myself in high school and college, I knew that the best way to get the most out of band was to jump right in. The more experienced band parents welcomed me into the Andover Band family and help me learn the ins and outs of band camp fundraisers, games, competitions and traditions. I have also served as Photographer and Webmaster for the Andover Golden Warriors Marching Band. Supporting the Andover Band Association has been a unique and rewarding experience, and a great way to feel truly connected to all the people in this wonderful program.

  • Shveta Sharma

    Webmaster/Social Media

This is my fourth year as a band parent and second year as a webmaster. I get so amazed to see the incredible energy and camaraderie that the group members exude. It is inspiring to see the passion and dedication with which the young musicians approach their craft. I have seen in the past couple of years how band members grow in confidence and skill, embracing new challenges and pushing their musical boundaries. It is always fun to see children play and enjoy themselves. Go ABA!
